The NFL has been the last major American sports league to sign official betting agreements. In a three-year deal with three sportsbooks, the NFL gets access to official league data, can promote its relationship with the league, and tie its brands to statistics. The NFL will make nearly $1 billion if the deal is successful, but can opt out after three years if it doesn’t meet expectations. If so, this could mean big money for the NFL.
BetMGM, for example, recently signed a partnership with the WNBA’s Liberty. The WNBA has eight franchises, including the Liberty, which plays home games in Brooklyn. Owner Joe Tsai is a majority owner of the Brooklyn Nets. Earlier this year, BetMGM announced it would become the official betting partner of the Knicks, Rangers, and Madison Square Garden. In March 2021, BetMGM and Betway will announce their official betting partnerships with six NBA/NHL franchises, including the Nets and Knicks.
Ensure the customer support system is good. While betting on sports, you might encounter issues or need assistance. A good customer service department will address your problems quickly and efficiently, as a poor customer support system could mean losing your wagers or potential winnings. Moreover, withdrawals and refunds can take weeks or even months. Also, make sure the support team of the betting website or app is active on social media and offers multiple avenues for assistance.
